Born in Detroit in 1964, Anna Sui moved to New York City to attend the famous Parsons The New School for Design. She began designing her own clothing from her apartment, which sold at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. Her first boutique opened in Soho in 1992, a year after her first runway show, and today Anna Sui has over 30 stories in five countries.
